Rooms & Rates

The Master Suite is located on the first floor. This light and airy bedroom has a private bath with Jacuzzi, walk in closet, and a king size bed.

The Prairie Suite is on the second floor of the farmhouse and is well suited for families with children. It includes 3 bedrooms and a shared bath with tub and shower. The Cone Flower Room has a queen size bed. The Compass Plant Room has 3 twin beds and a twin trundle. The Blue Stem Room has 2 twin beds as well as an extra twin mattress that can be pulled out. These 3 rooms are part of the original 1845 house and have the old fir plank floors and exposed, hand hewn timbers.

Guests are welcome to use the kitchen facilities which include oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, cooking utensils, pots and pans, baking dishes and service for 8

There is a lending library of books in the sun room and upstairs.

In cold weather there will be fires in the fireplace and wood stove to enjoy. Besides the dining room there are 2 sitting rooms with comfortable easy chairs, rockers and a hide-a-bed couch.

 

Rates

Each rental reserves the entire house for you exclusively. $135 per night for one bedroom; $175 for two bedrooms, $215 for 3 bedrooms, and $255 for four bedrooms.

Extended stays for the whole house of 4-8 nights are offered at a special rate of $150 per night for 4 successive non-weekend nights (Sunday through Thursday). Add the weekend at the same rate. Breakfast is included for the first night only. For more than 4 guests, add $15 per night per person.

Please inquire about day use rates for meetings or retreats as well as package offers connected to area businesses.

Check in time is 3 p.m. and check out time is 11 a.m. There is a 2 night minimum on weekends from May 1 to November 1. Friday and Saturday rent together. We accept cash, personal checks, credit card (Visa, MasterCard and Discover) and PayPal payments. For short stays (1-3 nights) a required deposit of one night's lodging to hold the reservation is due within 7 days of making a reservation. This deposit is refundable less a $25 processing fee if cancellation notice is given at least one week in advance of reservation date.

For extended stays of 4 or more nights, a required deposit of 50% of the total is due within 7 days of making a reservation. This deposit is refundable less a $25 processing fee if cancellation notice is given at least 30 days in advance of reservation date.

In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than the required notice as outlined above, shorten your stay, or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your night(s), a full or partial refund may be made.

We provide a continental breakfast consisting of bakery prepared sweets, fruit, granola bars, juices, coffee and tea. Feel free to bring food and cook meals (including lunch and supper) for yourselves. The Cooksville Store is located 2 doors north and sells a variety of non-perishable grocery products and beverages.

Ours is a smoke free B&B.

Pet charge for use of our garage kennel(unheated) with access to the fenced yard is $15 per pet per night.

Dogs must be leashed outside the kennel/yard. Cats must be caged for their own protection. No pets are allowed inside the house. Dogs must wear registration and rabies shots tags.

There is also Sunshine Kennels just down the road from us with heated kennels and an inside play area.
